The Stuart Public Library has been voyaging through a “Universe of Stories” for their summer reading program, and they are inviting the public to celebrate the anniversary of a historic space mission.
Saturday, July 20th marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and kids and adults are invited to bring a shirt to the library that day to get it printed with a design specially made by library patron Jesse Hunsaker. Shirts will be printed from 9 a.m.-noon for a freewill donation. Library Director Lisa Sherman asks those interested to not bring black shirts, but to come get a shirt printed to sport at the Scoop the Loop event happening later that day in downtown Stuart.
