Tomorrow will be the busiest day at the Greene County Fair.

The day starts with the 4-H/FFA Sheep Show at 8am in the showring, followed by the Beef Pen-of-Three judging at 9 and the Herd Builder judging at 10. The afternoon activities include the 4-H/FFA Goat and Goat Kid Show, the Pet Show and the 4-H Fashion Show. Then at 6pm will be the Greene County Fair Queen Contest in Clover Hall. There are four contestants with Elle Madsen, Izzy Bravard, Tieryn Tucker and Chloe Berens. After the queen contest will be recognitions for Iowa State Fair qualifiers.

The Fair Board is sponsoring additional ground attractions Friday. Poppin’ Penelope returns to the fairgrounds with her balloon artist skills and magic show. A chainsaw artist will perform, along with a new addition of Nick’s Kid Show. Fair Board member Jonathan Marshall explains the details of Nick’s Kid Show.

“He brings your kids up on stage and he gives them an instrument, and then they play along to the music. And they kind of put on the show for us.”

All ground attractions are free. The day ends with grandstand entertainment of the Grand River Rodeo and fireworks display, to which admission is $10. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Lil’ Big Red Radio will continue to broadcast live from the fair from 10am-6pm through Sunday.
