The 5-24 West Central Valley Wildcats Softball team will be Postseason Regional action on tonight traveling to neighboring, AC/GC in Guthrie Center.

West Central Valley and AC/GC both play in the West Central Activities Conference, and therefore, the two teams have already faced each other twice this season.

In both games, West Central Valley was defeated by a mercy-ruled margin.  21-6, and 11-1 were the scores of the two games from earlier this season.

The last record win for WCV Softball was back on June 22, when the Wildcats took down a team from extreme southern Iowa, Seymour, 14-7.

The winner of tonight’s game in Guthrie Center will face Van Meter on Wednesday night.

WCV would need to win four straight games in the Regional bracket to qualify for the State Tournament in Fort Dodge.

West Central Valley and AC/GC will start at 7:00pm in Guthrie Center this evening.
