The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with four items related to the issuance of the $6.5 million in general obligation school bonds for the industrial technology facility and wrestling/multipurpose room project. That will be followed by setting a public hearing to present the plans and specifications for the project, followed by awarding the bid package for the groundwork. The Board will then discuss overall facilities master planning with UNESCO, as well as additions to the upcoming project.

Next, the Board will consider revisions to the student handbook, followed by making appointments for the coming school year, including: Board Secretary and Treasurer; legal counsel; bank depositories and limit amounts; level I and II student abuse by school employee investigators; the District equity and equal opportunity and affirmative action office; the section 504 and Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator; and homeless coordinator. Finally, the Board will consider a request to dispose of tagged inventory items at the elementary, new personnel hires, and revisions to Board policies.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
