john-hickenlooper

Don’t forget: you have the chance to meet a candidate for President of the United States tomorrow in Perry.

The Perry Area Democrats are welcoming former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper to Hotel Pattee at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost for the public to attend the meet and greet, and no registration is required. This is his first trip to Dallas County since declaring his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for President in the 2020 primary election. Hickenlooper, who is fresh off his appearance in the first Democratic debates last week, is the 10th candidate to visit Dallas County ahead of next year’s Iowa Caucuses.

He’s one of 24 individuals vying for the Democratic Presidential nomination, and the chance to run against incumbent Republican President Donald Trump. Other candidates who have already visited Dallas County include: former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke, Southbend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttegieg, and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, who each visited Adel; former Maryland Congressman John Delaney, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who stopped in Perry; Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and California Businessman Andrew Yang, who attended the Dallas County Democrats annual fundraiser in Adel; and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, who visited Waukee.
