After being rained out in Ogden on Wednesday, there’s just one regular season game remaining on the Greene County High School softball schedule. Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams are set to host Southeast Valley (Gowrie) on Monday, July 8 on the City Diamond on E. Lincolnway.

Monday’s game will be the final one on the home diamond this season, and of their high school careers, for seniors Jenna Beyers and Megan Carey. Carey, the center fielder, is the Rams’ leadoff batter and as a left-handed slap-hitter is batting nearly .400 this season and for her varsity career. Beyers is the number three hitter in the order and the shortstop, who also pitches when needed. She also has a batting average well above .300.

SEV is a Twin Lakes Conference member and the Jaguars are 21-11 overall. The Rams belong to the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and has a 9-17 record after starting the season 0-8. Monday’s game is set to be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with first pitch around 7:30 p.m.
