It has been a very rough summer for a young Perry Jayette softball team as the team gets focused to play their final two regular season games over the next four days.  Perry will look to turn the corner tonight when the Jayettes host Coon Rapids Bayard in a newly scheduled 5:30 varsity battle at the PAC.  The Crusaders are in Iowa’s smallest class and enter the night with an 11-14 mark.  Perry has four victories this year including a forfeit win over Des Moines North.  The Jayettes will travel to Winterset Monday for makeup competition before a long road trip west to Harlan on Thursday for the Regional opener.  Thursday’s game will start at 5 pm due to a town celebration in Harlan which will close a high number of streets affecting traffic to and from the game.
