A Jefferson woman has received a high honor through Iowa State University.

ISU Director of Marketing Carole Custer was named Staff Member of the Year by the ISU Student Government organization. The award is given to faculty and staff who go above and beyond to help students, and take time out of their jobs to serve them. Custer said of the award, “These students are going to be the leaders of tomorrow and it is my honor to help prepare them for the experiences and adventure they will have as Iowa State alumni in their careers and their personal lives.”

Also receiving the award was the Director of Undergraduate Students in the College of Engineering Joel Johnson and ISU Library Dean Beth McNeil.
