0004 Hours Chad Louk reported 3 juveniles throwing rocks at a building in the 600 block of North Elm Street.
1015 Hours An officer provided a Funeral Escort
1421 Hours Dennis Blackburn reported a burglary in the 500 block of West Washington Street. The officer was advised 2 gift cards and 2 electronic devices were taken from a vehicle parked inside a garage. Officers are investigating.
1436 Hours Officers responded to 501 ½ East Lincoln Way for a report of trespassing
1517 Hours Officers investigated an accident in the 100 block of North Elm Street. A 1991 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Jonathan Thede of Churdan, struck a vehicle while attempting to turn from North Elm Street onto West State Street. The 2003 Chevrolet Suburban owned by Nora Long and operated by Clifton Long, both of Jefferson, had a reported $900 in damage. The Thede vehicle had a reported $400 in damages. Mr. Thede was cited for, “Unsafe Turn”
1937 Hours Michelle Christian reported harassment
2030 Hours Scott Foresman reported a driving complaint in the 800 block of West Clark Street

0426 Hours The Greene County Medical Center reported a male with a dog bite injury.
0549 Hours An officer responded to the 600 block of South Cedar Street to assist the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call.
1114 Hours An officer responded to the 400 block of West McKinley Street for an alarm activation.
1439 Hours An officer investigated a possible intoxicated driver in the 300 block of Ram Drive. The driver subsequently passed all field sobriety tests and was given a warning for dark windows.
1534 Hours An officer responded to 303 South Cedar Street to remove a bat from a residence.
1627 Hours As a result of a traffic stop in the 1500 block of North Elm Street, Christina Wagner of Des Moines was issued a Citation for Failure to Wear Seatbelt
1703 Hours An anonymous caller advised of a loose dog in the 500 block of South Wilson Avenue. Officers located the dog and returned it to its residence.
1814 Hours An anonymous caller reported possible criminal activity in the 400 block of North Vine Street.
1929 Hours The Greene County Medical Center requested an officer’s assistance in speaking with an unruly patient.
2028 Hours An anonymous caller advised of fireworks being shot in the 500 block of North Wilson Avenue.
2034 Hours Curt Hastings advised of fireworks in the 500 block of North Vine Street.
2051 Hours An officer responded to a car vs. deer accident in the 1800 block of North Elm Street. A 2010 Honda Fit owned by Jean Mann and operated by Daniella Fehring, both of Nevada, struck a deer causing a reported $750 in damages to the vehicle.
2128 Hours An officer responded to the 500 block of West State Street to assist the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call.
2154 Hours An officer responded to an alarm activation in the 500 block of East Vest Street.
2209 Hours Billie Jo Hovic advised of fireworks in the 500 block of West Harrison Street.
2314 Hours As a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of 220th Street and North Elm Street, Ignacio Melendez Leiva (41) of Perry was issued a Citation for Excessive Speed, Open Container and No Valid Driver’s License. During the traffic stop, the officer noticed Ignacio was displaying signs of intoxication. As a result, Ignacio was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor.
**** As a result of an unpaid parking ticket, Samantha Harms of Carrol was issued a Citation for Parking between the Lot Line and Curb
