Guthrie County and surrounding residents can start celebrating the nation’s birthday today as part of Yale’s annual celebration.

The 4th of July Celebration will kick off with the 5th Annual Three on the 3rd 5K Fun Run/Walk at 6 p.m. tonight, followed by Music in the Park with Chad Elliott from 7-10 p.m. which will also include food and wine vendors. There will be events from dawn to dusk tomorrow in Yale, including the parade at 11 a.m. Yale Community Club President Scott Fredrickson reveals a new feature to this year’s parade, “Oh yeah, I just found out that this year in particular we’re going to have a Belgian horse team in the parade that’s being sponsored by Panora Telco so we’re really excited about that. We usually have between 90-110 entries but it’s nice to have some new ones from time to time and so we’re really looking forward to that addition of the Belgian horses.”

Following the parade will be a horse show, car and tractor show, bathtub races, kids crafts and activities, “Rock in the Ball Park,” a fireworks display, and more. For more details visit here.
