A Coon Rapids man who made a plastic shank in a Guthrie County Jail cell will serve three years of probation in a recent plea agreement.
According to court documents, 27-year-old Trask Allen Anderson pled guilty to the class C felony charge of possession of contraband while confined for an incident that occurred this past May when he was in custody for an OWI first offense charge. A 10-year prison sentence was suspended last week for Anderson, and he has been ordered to abstain from consuming alcohol, to not enter any bars, taverns, or similar establishments, and abstain from unauthorized use of controlled substances. Anderson must also submit to a substance abuse evaluation and mental health evaluation, and pay all restitution, court costs, and related fees. All other charges were dismissed.
