3:16am: An officer was requested at 300 South Grimmell Road for a bat in the house. The officer did not locate the bat.
6:16am: Parks and Rec employees reported Criminal Mischief to the Shelter House at Kelso Park. The ceiling had been spray painted with graffiti. It will cost an estimated $200.00 to cover the graffiti. The officer is investigating. The Police Department has stepped up Park Patrols recently, due to the rash of vandalism in our parks.
7:28am: Forrest Shady advised of a stray dog at 403 Rushview Drive. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
8:57am: Rod Freeman reported a Fight in Progress between two male subjects in the 400 Block of North Maple Street. The officer arrived and made contact with both subjects. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Rickie Eugene Tuhn, 58 of Jefferson for, “Disorderly Conduct.” After the arrest, the officer later learned there is an Active Protective Order prohibiting contact with a female involved in this event. The officer has applied for an Arrest Warrant for Tuhn for, “Violation of a Protective Order – Simple.”
9:11am: Anthony DeMello reported a possible vehicle accident in the 800 Block of East Lincoln way Street. The officer arrived and made contact with one party involved. She advised the two parties had exchanged information before one left the scene. No Accident Report was requested.
10:00am: Patricia Coleman spoke to an officer concerning a Property Line Dispute with a neighbor. The officer offered her a solution to the issue.
11:01am: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 400 Block of South Chestnut Street. A 2008 Saturn Aura, owned and operated by Debra Kinsey of Jefferson, struck a parked vehicle while backing from her private drive. The 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was owned by Linda Ross of Jefferson. The Kinsey vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damages. The Ross vehicle suffered $1000.00 in damages. Kinsey was cited for, “Unsafe Backing Upon a Highway.”
7:31pm: A Traffic Stop at Lincolnway and Grimmell resulted in Eddie Simpson of Boxholm being cited for, “Fail to Have Valid License.”
9:05pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 300 South Grimmell Road.
