Friday, June 28th
12:17am: Bev Luft reported Fireworks being set off near 300 South West Street. The officer did not locate the source.
1:37am: An officer located an Open Door at 1603 North Elm. The officer secured the building.
2:01am: An officer assisted with a Medical call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.
11:16am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of Greenewood Road.
11:30am: Toni Lindberg reported 2 unattended young children at 703 West State Street. The officer arrived and located a 7-year-old locked out of the residence. A 3-year-old was inside the residence. They advised they did not know where their mother was. The officer gained entry into the residence and secured the 3-year-old. The mother came downstairs and advised she had been asleep upstairs. DHS was contacted by the officer.
11:40am: Elise Stephanie reported an injured snake in the roadway in the 200 Block of West State Street. The officer did not locate it.
11:22am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 800 Block of West Monroe Street.
12:58pm:, A US Postal Carrier reported the mail had not been picked up for several days at 207 East Perry Street. The officer learned the subject was in the hospital.
2:23pm: Irene Mischke reported a caller advised her worked for the Social Security Department and requested her S.S. Number. She did not provide the caller with any info.
6:20pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at 230th and Kirkwood which resulted in Justin Lopez of Jefferson being issued a Citation for, “Driving While Suspended.”
9:04pm: An anonymous caller reported a possible Intoxicated Driver heading to the Webb House. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
9:49pm: An officer went to 402 East Madison Street and arrested Carl William Hale, 65 of Jefferson, on an outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrant for, Stalking – Aggravated. The warrant stems from an investigation that began on May 30, 2019. A juvenile female reported constant unwanted contact from Hale at two places of employment. The officer spoke to Hale and advised him to end the unwanted contact, but it continued.
Saturday, June 29th
5:46am: Kashia Cooklin reported a baby fawn walking on West Russell Street. The officer located the uninjured fawn. It had left the roadway, not requiring any action by the officer.
10:11am: Dispatch advised an officer of a 911 Hang Up Call from 1406 Southfield Drive. It was determined that children were playing with the phone.
12:54pm: A caller advised of an extremely loud classic car being driven in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to a subject about the complaint and he advised he would park the vehicle out of respect for his neighbors.
12:57pm: Walton Woods reported a male subject, who had been trespassed from the property, was at the complex today. The officer is awaiting video footage and is investigating.
6:36pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a sleeping male that could not be awoken. When the officer arrived, they advised he had woken up and no assistance was needed.
9:06pm: Justin Baker spoke with an officer about a Civil Property Issue occurring at 500 East Clark Street.
Sunday, June 30th
12:21am: During a Park Check of restrooms at Washington Park, an officer located a backpack containing several BB Gun Pistols, a sword, knives, and tobacco products. The items were seized by the officer and he is investigating.
1:58am: Julie Byerly reported a female urinating outside of a residence in the 600 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the female.
3:14am: A caller advised of Barking Dogs in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer located the residence, but could not get a response at the door. He is working to speak with the owner about the issue.
10:32am: An officer assisted a couple, who small child had locked themselves in the vehicle, in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.
12:36pm: The Jefferson Swimming Pool reported a male subject was there, who was banned earlier in the week. The officer spoke with the subject, who left on his own.
1:17pm: An officer assisted Regency Park at 100 Ram Drive after a patient was attempting to walk away from the facility. The staff was walking the subject inside upon the officer’s arrival.
3:45pm: A clerk at Sparky’s One Stop advised an intoxicated female had left 606 Hwy 30 East in a tan Durango. The officer later located the reported vehicle on Elm Street. A computerized check of the vehicle showed the female owner was Suspended in Iowa. The officer performed a Traffic Stop with the vehicle in the 500 Block of North Elm Street. While speaking the female driver, the officer noticed several signs of intoxication. There were 3 children in the vehicle with the driver. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Ashley Nicole Paulsen, 31 of Perry for, “OWI 3rd Offense – D Felony, Child Endangerment (3 Counts)- Aggravated, Driving While Suspended – Simple, and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple.”
7:29pm: Officers issued 2 Parking Violation Notices on East Wilcoxway after receiving complaints about violations of the “Odd/Even Parking.”
