The public is reminded of an event happening in Guthrie County that’s been 150 years in the making.
The City of Menlo is celebrating their sesquicentennial today with a schedule of events to reach the sky, including helicopter and steam engine rides, a parade, tractor pull, petting zoo, inflatable rides, magic show, historical program, and much more. Many of the kids activities and food are free, and the day will conclude with a street dance from 8 p.m.-midnight at Short’s Place, and fireworks at 10 p.m. Raccoon Valley Radio will be broadcasting live from the Lil’ Big Red Radio at the Menlo Sesquicentennial from 9 a.m.-noon, playing music and giving public service announcements.
