History and telecommunication buffs are reminded of a free educational program happening at the Guthrie County Historical Village and Museum today.
Panora Telco Technology Development Director Curt Thornberry will be speaking on “100 Years of Panora Telephone History” from 1:30-3 p.m. Thornberry will share highlights of the past hundred years, including how the local telephone exchange was formed, construction of telephone facilities in the area, and will share historical photos of Panora and the phone office. Attendees are also encouraged to check out the telephone exhibit at the museum which features an old switchboard and other equipment from the past. This event is free and open to the public.
