With the 4th of July holiday coming up next week, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.
The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Extension, Greene County Community Center, Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library and the Jefferson Post Office will all be closed. The Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center will be open that day, but the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office will be closed. The library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for the holiday.
Jefferson City staff reminds residents that due to the holiday falling on a Thursday, garbage routes that day will be delayed until Friday. Garbage routes will return to normal schedules the following week. Residents are reminded to have their garbage at curbside by 6am to ensure it is picked up.
