The Panorama softball team had a night to forget Thursday, dropping both games of a doubleheader to Interstate 35 by scores of 10-0 and 21-4.

Defensive miscues cost the Panthers as they committed a combined nine errors across the two games. The first game looked like it would be low-scoring with I-35 leading 2-0 after four innings, but they would erupt for eight in the bottom of the fifth to end the game early.

They didn’t slow down at all in game two, jumping to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and 12-0 after the top of the third.

Panorama fought back in the bottom of the third, scoring four runs thanks to an RBI single by Lydia Knapp, a two-run single from Kennedy Andersen and Knapp stealing home. I-35 answered though with nine runs in the top of the fourth to end the game after just four innings.

The Lady Panthers will look to bounce back Saturday as they take on Clarion-Goldfield-Dows at Drake University.
