If you’ve been through Hotel Pattee this past week, you may have noticed the doors to Harvey’s closed and the restaurant operated out of the ballroom.

The reason being that crews have been working on redoing the floor in the dining areas. Restaurant operator Katie Harvey says they made the decision to remove all the carpet from Harvey’s and replace it with tile. She believes in addition to being a cosmetic upgrade, the tile will also be easier to clean, which she says will make a lot of difference given how expensive the carpet was. The remodel should be wrapped up tomorrow, at which time the restaurant will reopen for normal hours, and Harvey says she’s pleased with how it is turning out. She thanks the public for their patience as construction has progressed this week, and she appreciates the flexibility of the staff as well.
