Tonight, ADM Baseball will be hosting the Indianola Indians in Adel, in the third day of action for the Tigers this week. In an interview earlier this week, ADM Head Coach, Jason Book, mentioned that this week was a crucial week for the ADM to build their resume for postseason District seeding. Book believes that his team can move up as high as a #2 seed in their district, but picking up wins is the key to make that happen.
The Tigers dropped another close game in the RRC on Monday at Winterset. A game they should have won, and may come back to haunt their District seeding hopes. ADM led 3-1 heading into Winterset’s final six outs, as Logan Crannell threw another gem, but the score didn’t show it. Crannell gave up two runs in the bottom of the sixth, which knotted the game at 3-3. Kolton Benz came in for relief pitching in the 6th, and eventually took the loss as Winterset picked up the winning run in the bottom of the 7th frame.
ADM needs wins to build their resume, and they’ll get another chance tonight at home in Adel versus Indianola. Game time is set for 7:30pm. You can hear live, play-by-play action on K107-9, on the free KKRF mobile app, or stream online at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
