The ACGC baseball team picked up a win on senior night Tuesday, beating West Central Valley 5-3.

The Chargers fell behind early, trailing 3-0 entering the bottom of the third inning, but got on the board when Noah Nelsen reached base on a dropped third strike and scored on an error to make it 3-1.

The big blow came in the bottom of the sixth when Miles Kading pinch hit with the bases loaded and came through with a three run double to take the lead. Coach Taylor Morris said it wouldn’t have been possible without his team putting together tough at bats before that point.

The team also got quality pitching as Mike Ure started the game and settled in after giving up some early runs. Bryce Littler finished it off with four strikeouts in the final three innings.

The Chargers will try to build off the victory today as they visit Woodward Academy for a doubleheader this evening.
