Thursday, June 20th

6:37am: An officer responded to a Residential Burglary Alarm Activation at 1407 Westwood Drive. The homeowner had accidentally tripped the alarm. All was fine.

7:00am: HyVee requested an officer to advise a Jefferson juvenile male and his parents that he is no longer welcome at the business, located at 106 West Washington Street. The business had attempted to work with the juvenile with his unacceptable behavior in the store, but it continued.

10:55am: Casey’s reported a Gas Drive Off from 508 North Elm Street. A female left without paying for her fuel in the amount of $37.59. Casey’s provided the officer with video of the event and the subject’s name. The officer is working to contact the female.

11:31am: A caller advised of a small dog running in the street in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the animal.

7:02pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance near Madison and High Streets with a Medical Call.

7:48pm: A caller advised of a dog running loose near Madison and Vine Streets. The officer located an owner retrieving the animal and spoke to them about the ordinance issues.

7:51pm: A caller spoke with an officer about a neighbor’s dog defecating on his property and not being cleaned up after by the owner.

8:49pm: Mark Rasmussen advised his two dogs had gotten loose from 1701 Westwood Drive and he was looking for them.

11:24pm: An anonymous caller spoke with an officer about possible drug activity occurring in town.
