Those aged 60 and older who qualify can receive Farmers Market Senior Coupons in Jefferson.

The criteria for individuals to qualify includes being at least 60-years-old, are single with a yearly income of less than $23,107 or a married couple with less than $31,284 of annual income. Coupons can be redeemed for produce at Iowa farmers market, including the Greene County Farmers Market as well as Deals Orchard. The Greene County Farmers Market is every Tuesday through September 24th from 4-6:30pm on the east side of the Greene County Courthouse.

Interested individuals must provide their birth certificate and the last four digits of their Social Security number when they register. Registrations and coupons are available at the Greenewood Community Center in Jefferson from 9-10:30am.
