Nineteen Stuart businesses kept their doors open Friday evening for food, drinks, and conservation for the Stuart Revitalization Group’s inaugural “UnWine” Downtown event.

Adults 21 and older registered at D&G Auto Group where they received a wristband, a commemorative wine glass, and a guide to the local businesses that were serving wine and appetizers and holding prize drawings. Stuart Flowers & Gifts Owner Christy O’Brien shares her experience during the event, “So far so good, it’s been fun. I’ve seen a lot of faces that I knew and some new customers as well, going around and checking out Stuart and what we have to offer.”

The evening wrapped up at the Pocket Park on Northwest 2nd Street, with popcorn and live music by local artist Mason Jar. The Stuart Revitalization Group hopes to host this event again next year, as they continue their mission to bring more activity to downtown. Their next scheduled event is the Best of the Block BBQ Cookoff September 20-21.
