With rainfall happening earlier on and recent warmer temperatures, some communities in Greene County are starting to spray for mosquitos.
The City of Grand Junction reminds residents that they will begin spraying for the pests on Monday before dusk. City crews will continue to spray on an as-needed basis. The spray that is used is not harmful to humans or pets. However, if people don’t like the odor of the mist that is used, it is recommended to stay indoors when crews are spraying.
The City of Jefferson is already underway with its spraying operation. City crews spray the town on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting. They likewise use a spray that isn’t harmful to humans or pets.
