The Adel Public Library Summer Reading Program has officially launched, and there are an assortment of events coming up for participants to attend.
The theme for this year is “A Universe of Stories,” so the individual programs will each relate to outer space. The first activity is Thursday, June 13th, as tweens and teens are invited to create moon gazer jars at 11 a.m. Space is limited for the event, so registration is required. The following week, on Wednesday, June 19th at 11 a.m., kids in the reading program can watch a special puppet show presented by Pink Stew Entertainment. The next day on June 20th, there is a Circus Variety Show at 2 p.m. in the library’s community room. The program will be led by Martika, who is touted as a “variety entertainer extraordinaire.”
There is no cost to attend any of the summer reading events, and you can sign up for the program at any time during the season. To learn more about these and other upcoming events, stop into the library or visit their website, AdelPL.org.
