There’s no game scheduled tonight for Coach John Hupp’s Greene County High School baseball team, but the Rams are scheduled for a doubleheader Wednesday, plus single games on Thursday and Friday to end their week. The Rams started 2-0, but have since lost five straight contests and stand at 2-5.

The coach talked with Raccoon Valley Radio and said getting quality at-bats is a priority this week. “Getting hits early and often in games would be nice to see. If we get through this week having good approaches at the plate from the first inning through the last inning, I’ll be happy no matter what the outcome.”

The Rams play a varsity doubleheader in Story City Wednesday vs. Roland-Story. A JV game that was scheduled has been called off. A road trip to Carroll is on Thursday’s schedule to meet the Tigers, and the week finishes with a home contest vs. Nevada at Allensworth Field.

Greene County and PCM were rained out after just two batters in Prairie City last night. No immediate makeup date has been announced.
