It’s not too late to enter the Bell Tower Festival parade.
It begins at 11am on Saturday, June 8th from the Greene County High School parking lot. The route heads north on Chestnut Street and then it turns west onto Lincoln Way to North Vine Street, where the route will end heading south at the middle school. The parade is sponsored by the Jefferson Rotary Club and they will award trophies to the best looking entry in three categories: commercial, non-commercial and thematic. The theme for the 40th annual Bell Tower Festival is “Retro with a Twist.”
Rotary reserves the right to remove anyone who is acting in an unsafe manner during the parade. They will also not allow anyone to throw candy, trinkets or papers during the parade and parade entries must have walkers to hand items to parade-goers. Horse entries will be allowed only if they have their own clean-up crew following them during the parade. Large trucks and floats with obstructed views must have walking participants to help with safe navigation.
Parade entries should be at the high school parking lot by no later than 10am. A shuttle service will be available from the south side of the middle school to the parade starting point beginning at 9. Entry forms are available at the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office and must be submitted to them by Thursday, June 6th.
