The Perry Fourth of July Fireworks Drive recently got a big boost, following the annual Round-Up Fundraiser hosted by the Perry Hy-Vee and Fareway.
Together, the grocery stores added $3,628.92, bringing the total to $9,499, with the goal being $12,500. The two stores have a friendly competition each year, and Fareway was once again victorious having raised $2,500 during the eight days of the fundraiser. Perry Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti was appreciative of everyone’s efforts during the Round-Up, and she’s hopeful the community will keep the momentum going. “Thank you very much to both Perry Fareway and Hy-Vee for allowing us to do this initiative, and then everyone that was shopping this past week and donating a few cents here, a few dollars there! So we’re 75% of the way there, so we’ll be looking for a few more donations leading up to the event, about a month away. So look for Bucket Brigade at Friday Fest and farmers market, things like that. Any business or individual that would like to donate would be greatly appreciated!”
Pasutti adds, people can contact the Chamber or stop into their offices at the Towncraft Building to give their donations. To learn more about this and other Perry Chamber topics, listen to today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program on air and at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
