The Iowa High School Athletic Association pushed back the entire 2019 Boys’ State Soccer Tournament due to wet conditions at the Cownie Soccer Complex on the southeast side of Des Moines. Instead of playing today in the Class 1A quarterfinals, Greene County will meet Regina Catholic of Iowa City tomorrow at 12:05 p.m. with the winner moving on to Saturday’s 12 p.m. semi-final vs. North Polk (Alleman) or West Liberty. The Championship games in all three classes won’t be played until Tuesday, June 4.

The Rams are 14-5, ranked eighth and seeded fifth. Regina is 15-6, ranked second, and seeded fourth. The teams met a few weeks ago at the Nevada Tournament and the Regal won a 4-3 penalty kick shootout after regulation was tied 3-3.
