Due to wet field conditions, the start of the Iowa High School Boys State Soccer Tournament for Greene County High School will have to wait until tomorrow.

The Rams qualified for the state tournament beating AHSTW (Avoca) 5-2 in the substate finals Saturday. The fifth seeded Rams enter the tournament with a 14-5 record and they are matched up with two-time defending state champion and fourth seeded Iowa City Regina, who is 15-6. Greene County has the state’s leading goal scorer and overall points leader with Junior Gutierrez, who has 55 goals and 123 points.

The match is slated for 12:05pm tomorrow at the James Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines. You can hear it live on KGRA 98.9FM and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage to begin at 11:45am.
