The West Central Valley Wildcats Baseball team had a tough opening week of play last week, as the Wildcats were only able to play three of their five games scheduled, and dropping the three games they were able to play.
Last Monday, WCV opened the season at Glidden-Ralston with a loss 2-4, and dropped both games of a double-header at home, versus Insterstate 35 from Truro. 19-1, and 9-6.
The Wildcats had two other games scheduled that they were forced to postpone due to weather. Tuesday’s game at Ogden was rescheduled until June 14, and the scheduled game on Friday versus Southeast Valley was cancelled, as well.
WCV Head Coach, Nick Weinmeister, said there’s no reason to hit the panic button, yet.
West Central Valley will look to pick up a couple victories this week, as the Wildcats host Audubon tonight in Stuart, before traveling for a double-header in Pleasantville tomorrow.
