
The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.
The Council will hold three public hearings. The first will be for the 2019 fiscal year budget amendments. The second hearing will be on the general obligation loan agreement not to exceed $243,000 for construction of a shared use path along Central Avenue from Highway 4 to Walnut Street. The final hearing is to consider relocating 243rd Street for the airport runway extension project. Following all three hearings, the Council will consider approving each item.
Next the Council will consider for approval the first reading of an ordinance change to increase the compensation of Council members and the mayor. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval to purchase a mower for the Public Works Department, the City Administrator’s contract and an adjustment to a sewer bill.
Finally, the Council will hear a quarterly update and funding request from Greene County Development Corporation, a housing presentation from Rowland Construction Company President Andy Rowland and hold a quarterly meeting with Jefferson Matters: Main Street.
The meeting begins at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
