A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for portions of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area early Memorial Day.
The National Weather Service issued a warning for southeastern Guthrie and western Dallas counties at 6 a.m. and was allowed to expire at 6:30 a.m. This was a radar indicated storm with the main hazard being 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts. Four members of the Severe Weather Action Team and Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf brought you live coverage of the storm.
