Car lovers, kids, and others will all have something to enjoy at this year’s Scoop the Loop events in Stuart.
The annual car show series will have its first event Saturday June 1st from 5-10 p.m. in downtown Stuart. Besides classic cars, music, and food vendors there will be some new attractions. Wingnut Raceway, a traveling valve cover racetrack, will be located near D & G Auto Group for kids to compete for trophy awards, and the Karl Chevrolet ice cream truck will be offering free treats to the public as well. Organizer Bob Cook shares what inspired Scoop the Loop eight years ago, “One of the reasons we started it, the first meeting was ‘How can we create vitality in downtown Stuart? How can we bring more people here?’ And we want that to benefit economically for the people downtown and also for the people that come, we want them to enjoy it.”
There is no registration fee to participate, and prizes will be awarded. The following events will be held July 20th and September 7th.
