The Dallas County 4-H Machine Magicians Club is hosting a special event at the beginning of June, and they invite aspiring roboticists to take part.
On Friday, June 7th from 4-7 p.m., the club invites the public to the Dallas County Fairgrounds entertainment plaza for a “Balloon Bots Tournament.” Participants will design and create a remote-controlled battle robot, with the purpose of popping other competitors’ balloons. All robots will be built at the event and all materials will be provided. The teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament, and prizes will be awarded for the champion, most creative, and most team spirit. Teams can have between two and four people, and there should be at least one 4-H member on each team.
The cost to compete is $22 per team, and $2 from each entry fee will be donated to AHeinz57 pet rescue. Participants must register ahead of time, and the deadline to do so is May 28th. Registration can be done online by clicking the link below.
