The ADM Boys’ Soccer club opened Substate Postseason play in Adel on Wednesday night with an impressive 4-2 victory over #15 Newton.

Wednesday’s game was a fast-paced thriller that was upbeat in tempo from the start. ADM was aggressive offensively and took the bull by the horns in their Substate opener versus Newton.

Justin Annear got things going early for the Tigers with a goal just seven minutes into regulation. The first half was dominated by the Tigers in time of possession, as ADM created a number of valuable scoring opportunities in the first frame. Maddox Artzer added a second goal just before halftime as Maddox Artzer netted a score with three minutes remaining before the break.

ADM scored first in the second half which put the Tigers up 3-0 and the Cardinals were never able to complete the comeback.
ADM now sits at 12-5 on the season and will play in the Substate Final on Saturday at rival, Dallas Center-Grimes. DC-G is currently ranked #6 in the state.
