
Wednesday, May 22nd
1:14am: While conducting Business Door Checks, an officer located an Open Door at 600 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer secured the door.
8:44am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Personal Injury Accident at Clark and Maple Streets. A 1997 Toyota Rav 4, owned and operated by Sherry Demello of Jefferson, was southbound on North Maple Street. Demello failed to yield at the uncontrolled intersection with Clark Street and was struck by an eastbound vehicle on Clark Street. The 2015 Jeep Cherokee was owned and being operated by Luann Walsh of Carroll. The Demello vehicle had a reported $5000.00 in damages, while the Walsh vehicle suffered a reported $4000.00 in damages. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Durbin Towing. Demello was transported to ER by the GC Ambulance Service for possible injuries. Demello was cited for, “Fail to Yield to Vehicle on Right.”
10:10am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Wilson Ave.
10:50am: The Greene County High School requested an officer at 101 Ram Drive for a student who appeared to by under the influence of narcotics. The officer met with the male juvenile, who eventually admitted he had left school and smoked marijuana before returning. The officer searched the student’s locker and vehicle, but nothing illegal was located. The student refused to cooperate with officers and advised where he had smoked the substance.
2:07pm: Offices assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Lane.
2:29pm: A caller advised of grass clippings blown into the street near Pinet and Clark Street. The officer is working to determine who had mowed the area and advise them of the ordinance prohibiting grass being blown into the street.
3:28pm: Teresa Gaver reported missing items from her apartment at 1000 West Adams Street, #6. She advised someone had also prepared food and placed it in her refrigerator.
4:39pm: Janice Napolitano reported hearing gunshots in the area of the 1200 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officers did not locate anything in the area.
6:37pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Way Street with a male subject with an Active Arrest Warrant. Jason William Sheldahl, 47 of Jefferson was arrested on an Outstanding Jefferson PD Arrest Warrant for, “Domestic Abuse 2nd Offense – Aggravated.”
6:38pm: A caller advised of a couple walking in the area of 200 Block of South Wilson and involved in a verbal argument. The officer did not locate the reported subjects.
