Adults over the age of 50 are invited to strengthen their bodies and minds through a program from Guthrie County Extension.
Extension is hosting “Rockin’ & Rollin’ Seniors,” a new healthy living program that will take place from 2-3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 4th-25th at the Panora Public Library. Extension Program Coordinator Krista Downing is instructing the program, which she says she has modeled after similar programs held around the state. Downing shares what she looks forward to from the program, “I’m just kind of excited to reach out to the community to a different age group and play activities, learn activities, make sure that their minds are sharp and definitely just interact with everyone.”
The Rockin’ & Rollin’ Seniors events will include activities to improve your health and fitness, memory tricks to keep your mind sharp, and others to be determined by the group. This is a free program, and you can register by calling 641-747-2276.
