Rachael Danielson of Jefferson ended her freshman season of college golf at Central College (Pella) in grand fashion. She and her Dutch teammates played in the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Tx, May 14-16. The Dutch were 19th as a team. All 31 qualifying teams played the first three days, with only the top 15 teams advancing to the fourth day of competition.

Danielson played 54 holes (18 per day) and her scores improved each day. She opened with a 95, then shot 87, and finished her tournament by shooting 80.The Bay Oaks course is par 72, 5,889 yards. She is a 2018 Greene County High School graduate who qualified for high school state tournaments as a sophomore, junior, and senior. She is the daughter of John and Barb Danielson.
