8:46am: Home State Bank turned in a possible Counterfeit $100.00 Bill. The bill came from a deposit from a local business.

1:58pm: A nurse from The Carroll Area Nursing Group called and requested a Welfare Check on a male in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officer made contact with the male, who was fine.

2:43pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Locust Street.

4:25pm: Officers were advised of a Face Book post from a female who may be suicidal. The officers learned the female no longer resides in Jefferson and passed the information on to Denison PD, where the subject has moved to.

5:07pm: Officers checked on a Bank Alarm Activation at 116 West State Street. All was fine at the bank.

6:06pm: Amelia Kennedy requested assistance from officers with her juvenile son, who was walking away from her vehicle and refused to get in with his mother. The officer returned the child to his guardian.

6:49pm: Megan Ball reported the storm had blown a tree down, blocking the roadway in the 100 Block of West Madison Street. The officer contacted city crews to push the tree off the street.

7:03pm: Kim Truong reported a tree had blown down onto the house at 205 West Madison Street. The residence suffered damage to the roof from the tree.

8:07pm: Roger Carlson reported a tree branch on the powerlines in the alley of the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street. Alliant Energy was contacted.

8:08pm: Robin Conner reported a tree trunk had split down the middle in the 500 Block of South Elm Street.

8:16pm: Steve Kohl reported a tree branch on a line, causing a small fire near 605 South Vine Street. Alliant was made aware of the issue.

10:34pm: A caller requested officers at 501 ½ East Lincoln Way Street for a Domestic Assault. The officer arrived and spoke with her. The officer’s investigation found injuries to the victim consistent with her version of the assault. The officer attempted to locate the male party, but was unable to do so. The officer applied for an Arrest Warrant for Jason William Sheldahl, 48 of Jefferson for, “Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense – Aggravated.”
