The last of the Perry Sesquicentennial Trivia fundraisers is coming soon, and the planning committee is hopeful for a big turnout for the third contest.
Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti says the competition will be held Thursday, June 6th at La Poste, starting at 6:30 p.m. She emphasizes you don’t need to be a trivia buff in order to have a good time, and she’s hopeful for good participation from the public. “We had kind of a small turnout last time, but it was still fun. So we’re really hoping to get people thinking about it a little bit sooner this time around, and proceeds go to the Sesquicentennial (Celebration). So again, every little bit counts, every person helps with that. It’s fun, even if you don’t know anything and everything about Perry, (and) you might learn something! But it’s just fun in general to kind of gear us up for that Sesquicentennial event.”
The cost to compete is $10 per person, and teams can have up to eight people. Each team can also purchase eight “mulligans,” which can be used for one free answer per round. The winners will receive free commemorative challenge coins, as well as bragging rights associated with finishing first. Pasutti adds, they should have coins and t-shirts available for sale at the event.
