The Perry Chamber of Commerce is offering a free program tomorrow evening, which is focused on people interested in starting their own small business.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they will have the Iowa Center for Economic Success on hand from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Towncraft Building for what they’re calling an Entrepreneur Readiness Assessment (ERA). The workshop will be hands-on and interactive, and Pasutti says it will give potential business owners an idea of what steps they need to take to make their dreams a reality. “This kind of goes through the process of, you know, ‘Do I have the right personality for being an entrepreneur?’ Because there’s long hours and a lot that goes into a business. But then also, ‘Am I ready financially?’ and things like that. So it’s not going to be too strenuous, but just more getting people able to talk over some things, think through some things in a facilitated fashion.”
Pasutti adds, the ERA is free to attend, but the Chamber would appreciate RSVPs. You can reserve your spot by stopping in or calling the Chamber office at 515-465-4601. The workshop is a part of the “Better My Business” series the Chamber has started, which will culminate in February with a grant competition.
