Families in the Panorama School District are reminded of a free summer lunch program being organized by the District this summer.

There will be five sites serving free lunches Monday through Friday from June 3-28, July 8-31, and August 1-9. Superintendent Shawn Holloway says they’ve been working hard to be able to provide this service for all area kids, and three of the sites have qualified for the federal Summer Food Service Program,

“In Bagley, Jamaica, and Linden, we’ll be able to provide free lunches through the federal program, get reimbursement for those meals. And then in Panora and Yale we had our area backpack program, that’s really run by Scott Fredrickson, (he) stepped up and gave us a donation to cover expenses for those two sites.”

Any person 18 years of age and under can eat for free in Linden, Jamaica, and Bagley, and only Panorama enrolled students can eat for free in Panora and Yale. Those non-qualifying can eat for $3.75. For more information on the program, visit here.
