Three different vehicle wrecks resulted in multiple citations in Guthrie County over the weekend.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Rick Allen Sammon of Norwalk was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and yield right of way, and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle. His vehicle was found Sunday morning to have struck a road sign and fence west of the intersection of 280th and Wagon roads. In the second incident, 40-year-old Brian John Krakau of Guthrie Center was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, striking an unattended vehicle, no proof of insurance, and unsafe backing onto a highway. The alleged incident occurred at about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North 8th Street in Guthrie Center, when Krakau’s vehicle struck three parked vehicles. In the third incident, which occurred at about 2 p.m. Sunday, a minor female was charged with failure to maintain control and no valid drivers license after she allegedly lost control on a gravel roadway southwest of Bagley. Her vehicle entered the south ditch and struck a utility pole. Sheriff Marty Arganbright reminds residents that there will be increased patrols this Memorial Day Weekend.
