The Greene County Medical Center has hired a new administrator.
Heather Paris is the new chief administrative officer and chief financial officer. Medical Center CEO Carl Behne says they were looking to combine both of these positions for a while and when the CFO position came available this past March, Behne points out that Paris fit the dual-role nicely.
“Very excited to have Heather Paris joining the medical center leadership team. (She) Comes with a vast, vast amount of experience both in CFO work but also actually being a hospital CEO. So (I’m) looking forward to having Heather on the team and I’ve worked in the periphery with Heather in the past. So (I’m) looking forward to working with her much closer.”
She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Iowa and has her master’s degree in health and care administration from Des Moines University. She was the chief financial/information officer at Monroe County Hospital and Clinics in Albia from 1997 to 2013. Then from 2014-2016, she was the CEO of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.
She lives in Boone with her husband, Greg, and their children, Emily and Jay. She will start at the medical center on June 3rd.
