The Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.

The Board will hold a work session for an hour, starting at 5:15pm, where they will hear several teacher presentations. No action will be taken by the Board during the work session.

The regular meeting will then begin at 6:30pm. Under old business, the Board will consider for approval a resolution appointing a paying agent, bond registrar and transfer agent, form of tax exempt certificate and amending the resolution to authorize the issuance of the general obligation bonds not to exceed $5.5 million for the new high school and career academy. Additionally, the Board will consider approving the second reading of a revised policy for graduation requirements.

Under new business, the Board will consider for approval: the 2019-2020 employment contracts for teacher leadership, administrators and classified staff; the 2019-2020 substitute and new hire rates; and the 2019-2020 activity passes, book fees and lunch, breakfast and milk prices. Additionally, the Board will consider the independent contract agreement for professional development services, a name change for the Greene County Academic Achievement Center, the first reading for revised policies on literacy and classified staff vacations, and fundraiser requests. The Board will also hear about the Greene County Early Learning Center and the project to remodel the current high school into a middle school.

Both meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
