The West Central Valley Girls’ Golf team has been in rebuild mode all season. Head Coach, Traca Waddell worked tirelessly on building her bench for the WCV Girls’ Golf program, as she managed to more than double the number of girls golfing for the Wildcats this season. That more than doubled number is seven.

Of those seven girls playing this year, four are Freshman. Building such a young team will eventually yield progress and long term success for the West Central Valley Girls’ Golf program.

Each meet this season, Waddell’s club has been focused on scoring better and improving their fundamentals. Getting the small details down pat will pay dividends in years moving forward.

Jaicee Wathne recently scored the team best individual nine hole score of 49, to lead the Wildcats. Other consistent performers for WCV this spring have been Darby Davis, Emma Johnson, and Hunter Godwin.

The West Central Valley Girls’ Golf team will push forward in improving themselves in another meet this afternoon against CAM, Des Moines Christian, and Panorama at 5×80 Golf Course in Menlo teeing off at 4:00pm.
