Starting tomorrow, the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower in Jefferson will be open on the weekends.

The bell tower will be open from 10am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays in May. As a special treat, visitors that come to the bell tower tomorrow will receive a May basket. The bell tower will be open every day starting Memorial Day. Adult admission is $3 and Jefferson Rotary Club is sponsoring youth admission for free for those 18-years-old and younger.

However, if you want to avoid paying an admission charge to visit the bell tower multiple times throughout the year, you can purchase a season pass for $15. The seasonal pass is for any adult that is 19 and older to ride to the observation deck unlimited amount of times for the entire year. Call the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office at 515-386-2155 to purchase a seasonal pass, or purchase one at the bell tower.
