The deadline to help out a local organization that is lending a hand to help those impacted by the recent floods is fast approaching.
The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association is donating $5,000 to help flood victims in southwest Iowa and Nebraska and they are challenging the rest of the county to match or exceed their contribution. Cattlemen member Mike Holden thanks their annual trophy auction sponsors for their support in this effort as a way to help farmers and other cattle producers that were affected by the floods.
Donations can be made at Home State Bank in Jefferson or any Peoples Bank location in Greene County. Checks can be made payable to the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association, earmarked for flood relief. Tomorrow is the deadline for accepting donations.
