The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District is hosting their prom festivities this Saturday, and there’s still some time for stragglers to get their tickets.

The night will start with the Grand March at 7:15 p.m. in the north gym at the high school. The event is open to the public, and tickets cost $2 per person. The dance will follow in the middle school commons, and the theme for this year is “Hollywood.” A new feature for this year will be a live band, with the Pork Tornadoes set to perform an assortment of popular covers. There will also be a DJ for portions of the evening. The dance will run from 8-11 p.m., after which the attendees are encouraged to get changed for the After Prom event.

After Prom will start at 11:30 p.m., and the theme for this year is “Cinco de Mayo.” Activities during the party include casino games, human “Hungry Hippos,” and game trucks at the high school, as well as buses to take attendees to the Adel Family Fun Center for bowling. There will also be over 100 prizes given away at the end of the festivities. After Prom will wrap up at 5 a.m., though students are reminded they can leave at any time. However, once they leave they can’t return to the party.

Tickets for the ADM prom are still available from the event’s organizer, science teacher Sarah Boesen, for $25 each. She reminds students that only juniors and seniors can purchase tickets, and there won’t be any available at the door.
